With millions of posts indexed, the difference between a good search session and a frustrating one is usually filtering: removing the things you don't want to see. adultgpt gives you three layers of filtering — per-search exclusions, a permanent blacklist, and score/rating filters. Here's when to use each.
Layer 1: the exclude modifier (per search)
Prefix any tag with a minus sign to remove it from the current search only:
+harry_potter;-animated— Harry Potter posts, but still images only. Try it
Excludes are the right tool when your dislike is search-specific — you might exclude animated while browsing one character but want it back for the next search.
Layer 2: the blacklist (permanent)
The blacklist lives in your preferences. Tags on your blacklist are removed from every search automatically — you set it once and never see them again. Use it for your hard turn-offs: things that ruin an otherwise perfect result set no matter what you're searching for.
The blacklist and excludes compose cleanly: an excluded tag only affects the current search, while blacklisted tags are filtered out everywhere, always.
Pro tip: blacklist as a supertag
Your exclude list can get long. Save all your exclude tags as a supertag — a named collection of tags that stays between visits. Instead of re-entering ten exclusions every session, you add one supertag and they're all active. This is the single biggest quality-of-life feature on adultgpt.
Layer 3: score and rating filters
Above the results you'll find the filter controls. Two dimensions matter:
- Score — set a minimum number of likes.
score>=20hides everything the community hasn't upvoted, which is a surprisingly effective quality filter. - Rating — narrow by explicit, questionable or safe. Useful when a character search returns both suggestive and fully explicit work and you only want one of them.
